Companies deal with integration problems in many areas and on many layers. Loosely coupled integration does not only allow for designing independent systems that can be developed and operated individually, but can also increase availability and reliability of the overall system - particularly by using asynchronous communication. Text books provide standard patterns for designing integration- and conversation-scenarios - but for architects it's not always clear which integration approach or technology is the best match for their given problem. In this session, we demonstrate with the aid of concrete use cases, how integration- and conversation-patterns can be architected in a microservices scenario. We further provide guidance on the integration technology, while we focus on cloud-native and serverless tools.
